Yamaha Music London and the Polish Cultural Institute have announced details of a pioneering new music recital series which will take place between the 11-15 November at Yamaha Music London's central Soho location. The event is designed to celebrate Poland’s cultural connections with the UK and to showcase the next generation of great Polish artists for Polish, British and multicultural audiences.
The opening event on 11th November coincides with Polish National Independence day and throughout the week a diverse programme will encompass classical, opera and jazz performances. There will also be a special Expo of sheet music from many of Poland's most celebrated composers featuring music published by Chester & Polskie Wydawnictwo Muzyczne (PWM).
Tickets are free of charge but demand is expected to be high so early booking is advised.
All performers are currently London-based and already widely regarded as some of the most promising Polish musicians. An extensive repertoire will be showcased during the week, including works from Fryderyk Chopin, Karol Szymanowski, Henryk Wieniawski, Witold Lutosławski and Grażyna Bacewicz.
